Give Give your puppy the best head start you can! This six-week course is for puppies of all breeds and mixes. They do not need to be AKC registered to enroll. The entire six-week course is $80. Puppy classes are designed to get puppies started on the right foot. This class covers the basics of controlled walking, introduction to sit/down/stay and teaching to come on command. Up to one-third of the class is devoted to socializing the puppy to get along with other dogs and people. We cover problems with housebreaking, chewing, digging and general discipline. Family members are encouraged to watch the class, but only one of you can take your puppy through the course. For class, wear comfortable sports-type clothes that are easy to move in and enclosed sports shoes that will not slip, slide or come off your feet. No high heels, no flip-flops, no clogs and no sandals. For the puppy, bring whatever leashes and collars you may own that fit her in case the instructor wants you to try something you already own. Please, no chain leashes or retractable leashes. Bring lots of pea-sized soft treats. Chicken, hot dogs, cheese or soft dog treats cut into small pieces work well. Try to arrive 15 minutes early for your first class and do not feed at least four hours before class. If you bring children with you, they must be supervised or old enough to not require supervision. We have a large parking lot. Please do not park against the building
